Two Affordable Changes to Make

Here are two quick things to consider changing if you are thinking about selling your house. One is light switch covers / outlet covers. When you live in a house for a long time, particularly if it’s an old house, odds are that walls and covers will get painted or you get things customized, these get painted to match the room… stuff like that. But if you’re going to sell your house and get it ready for market, I highly recommend going through and switching out the covers with new, fresh, and clean plates.

The other thing you can do in a house that is anywhere from 20-40 years old is replacing the doorknobs. Go through your house and take a look at the doorknobs and check out the color. If they are brass from the 80’s or if they are scratched up and look really bad, I would recommend going to the store and buying a box of matching hardware and replacing the old doorknobs with basic doorknobs that are clean, simple and match.
