Making Money on your Home, part 2
Following up from my last newsletter about making money with your house….
When you go to buy that house that you’re going to live in for a minimum of two years, look for a house that needs work! Look for a house that your vision can help build value by the decisions and the improvements that you make. Put some sweat equity into it. Figure out what needs to be done. Figure out what are your strengths and where you need to hire people to help you. But make the house pretty and you’ll make money on it. People buy pretty and it’s easier to sell pretty and make money on it. And if you make money and you live in the house for two of the preceding five years, you can potentially make a non-tax profit as a homeowner using your house.
